Family portrait Leuven - The Murray family

It has been quiet around here for quite some time. Being pregnant with our third son, running a business and renovating a house turned out to be a very busy combination which affected my blogging here. I guess life happened. Nevertheless, in that time I was also very busy photographing lots of big moments for amazing people that I will soon share here.

One of them being the Murray family. The sweetest, most loving family I have ever met. They moved here from the US and now live in beautiful Leuven. And lucky us, they asked us to be their photographers.

Late last year Katie contacted us regarding her maternity session. She was expecting her second daughter early February and wanted to have this precious time in life captured.

Because it has special meaning, they chose the 'Oud Begijnhof' in Leuven as the backdrop and despite the cold weather in late december, the session turned out just beautiful.

Few weeks later they welcomed little Alice into their family and they invited us over again to have their pictures taken, this time as a family of four.

What an honor it was to photograph this adorable family! And how smitten I still am by little Juliette, who stole my heart with her big blue eyes and the cutest little smile!

Katie and Luke, thank you so much for trusting us with these precious moments. We enjoyed every minute that we got to spend with you and your amazing girls :-)

Newborn photographer in Sint-Niklaas - Lèis

After capturing their wedding and their maternity session, I also had the honor to capture the newborn pictures of their first child. A very very cute and gorgeous first child! This little man is bound to wrap everyone around his little fingers, mock my words!

Kim Linh and Ènes have trusted me with all the great moments in their life and I couldn't be more thankful that so many wonderful couples such as them, involve me in all these special occasions. It makes me feel like I get to grow along with their family and it that makes me feel humble and thankful. Being allowed to do what I love most, because all these wonderful people let me in on their big moments is the most wonderful gift!

So thank you, thank you, thank you, to all you amazing people that hire me to capture all this beauty!

Maternity session in Antwerp - Vicky

When Vicky contacted me to book her maternity session, she told me how important water had been in her life. So no doubt about it the location where we would photograph her maternity pictures, would include water.

In early summer with the sunshine on our faces and a soft breeze in our hair, we went to the Royal Liberty Yacht Club where a sailing boat made for the perfect backdrop and after that we drifted off to the Sint-Anna beach close by.

In the meantime Vicky is enjoying life withe her baby girl by her side, and we dream away to summer with these pictures.

Maternity photographer in Sint-Niklaas - Marieke

It has been quite busy lately which made it a little quiet around here.

But now we are back at it and to start blogging again I chose this beautiful maternity session I got to photograph for Marieke and Gert.

Marieke is a natural when it comes to posing, and that made my job even easier than it already was! They say pregnant women have this glow, looking at this pictures, I can only agree!

Besides being a natural in posing, Marieke is also one of the nicest, sweetest people I ever got to meet. And oh the interaction between her and her husband! I'm totally swooning over the beauty of it all!

In the meantime they already welcomed their little boy that I got to capture in a newborn session at the hospital and that you'll be able to see soon, but for now I'll let you walk along on this beautiful sunny afternoon!

Marieke and Gert, thank you for letting me capture all these beautiful moments in your life!

Maternity session in Sint-Niklaas - Niki

I've known Niki for quite some time now. I had the honor to capture many beautiful moments in her life and this is one of them. In december Niki and Tom are expecting their first child and they are looking forward to it in every way possible. And so am I because that means I get to photograph another beautiful baby! Till than I'll let you join in on the wonderful afternoon we spent in the forest in the early fall when the sun was still shining and the temperatures made us feel like it was summer.

Niki and Tom, I know how you have been looking forward to this moment in your lives and I wish you a million beautiful moments with this little one. Thank you for always letting me join in on these moments in your life!

Newborn session in Antwerp - Mia

In their beautiful Antwerp city home I got to capture Mia's newborn pictures. Oh how I am swoon over this gorgeous little girl! She was so sweet and adorable I almost took her home with me. Just kidding!

I love to capture the connection between a mother and child, real, raw, pure moments. I'm a only a witness to these stolen moments and I'm there to capture them.

People often wonder, why newborn? Isn't it to soon, isn't it better to wait till the baby is a bit older? Well, I think not. They change so much in those first few days and weeks. As parents you are overwhelmed and let's be honest, exhausted too, and by the time you get passed that, the baby has changed completely but you didn't really get the chance to capture those moments yourself.

Feel free to see for yourself why you should have newborn pictures taken.

Maternity Photographer Antwerp - Kim Linh

Only a few weeks left before Kim Linh & Enes become the proud parents of a baby boy or girl, I can't wait to see what they are having!

On one of the last warm and nice summerdays, we went to the beautiful Sint-Anna beach in Antwerp for their maternity session.

The result was more beautiful than we could have asked for. Soft summer light, bright colors... Add this gorgeous couple to all of that and you get an amazing maternity photoshoot.

Feel free to have a look and enjoy!

Love, C

Maternity Photographer Sint-Niklaas - Nikki

Last year Nikki was a stunning bride, today she stood in front of my camera as a gorgeous mommy-to-be.

Even at 7 months of pregnancy she’s still looking amazing.

For her maternity shoot we did a combo of shooting in studio and on location.

The result is a timeless, soft, romantic feel. Just the way I like it!

Nikki, thanks for trusting in our skills once again. I had so much fun!
